About Us

Becky and I met at Mid America Nazarene College (Mid America Nazarene University - MNU
now.) She was a junior and a freshmen mentor with fellow junior Richie Jones.

I was a freshman coming in, wide eyed and wasn't looking for a girlfriend. I happened to be in
the same mentor class that Becky was in. She swore that she would not date younger guys,
after dating one over the summer. Her and I just started hanging out a lot that week. We
became very close that first week. I asked her to go with me to Sonic but, we went to Wendy's
instead and shared a frosty. We shared our first kiss in a McDonald's parking lot at the corner
of Santa Fe and Mur-Len in Olathe.

I gave Becky a promise ring on our one month anniversary. I knew in the first three weeks of us
dating that I was going to marry her. We got engaged on top of a mountain in Colorado, during
my families annual ski trip. We got married on August 17th, 1996.
