The Process:

The placenta is picked up from birth location and brought to my sanitized placenta encapsulation station and labeled.
The placenta is rinsed, a high resolution photo is taken, a placenta print is made, along with the umbilical cord keepsake, non toxic paint is washed off, and placenta is thoroughly examined to report back to the birthed the attributes of their placenta.
Lemon, turmeric and ginger are added to the raw placenta. (Ask for other specific infused herbs if desired).
The placenta steams for 20 minutes. This is considered the TCM(traditional Chinese method). By doing this, it rids the placenta of ANY type of bacteria, virus, or infection and makes it safe to eat. This method also is meant to bring warmth back to the body to heal faster.
The cooked placenta is cut into smaller pieces.
The pieces are put onto a dehydrator for 12-18hours.
The dehydrated pieces are put into a grinder.
The pieces are crushed into powder.
The capsules are put into the capsule machine.
The placenta powder is poured into the capsules and the capsules are sealed shut. Vegetarian capsules are my go-to.
The capsules are packaged into a green tinted jar to keep them out of the sun and make them last longer. Included are instructions on dose and amount of capsules made.
All equipment and workspace is thoroughly sanitized. Using our stainless steal workspace makes this especially sanitary.
The package is made with jar of encapsulated placenta, a tree of life print on canvas, a cord keepsake that lasts forever, and a photo of the placenta in it’s raw form with baby’s name.
The package is then dropped off at birth location or the home of the parents. Typically before 72hrs postpartum.

About the keepsakes:

A Tree of Life print is a print made by the placenta on paper or canvas (I use canvas). You can use natural ingredients like berries or fruit, some use food coloring for a light print, or non toxic edible paint. The non toxic paint I use comes in many colors and allows you to match the print to the nursery or use colors that you associate with the baby. All of which are washed off after the print process.

Placenta Cord Art is the result of dehydrating the umbilical cord into a shape or word, depending on length. For keepsake. I keep my daughter's cord art in her birth shadow box. After the cord is properly dehydrated and shaped, it will last forever!

A high resolution photo is taken of the placenta to commemorate its beauty and all the work it has done for your baby. It is printed as a 4x6 for easy storing or to place in their baby book. Another benefit is to keep this photo in your child’s medical files. The print is customized with the baby’s name.

All of these keepsakes are included in the placenta package. If you would like to skip the placenta capsules, a keepsake package can be designed for you so that you still have these items to remember what first connected you to baby. Placenta can be prepared and buried or can be disposed.
